Liz & Paul's Bar Harbor Club Wedding in Bar Harbor, Maine

I am moment away from giving Liz & Paul their full gallery for their wedding, but I knew I just couldn't do so without posting their full sneak peek. What can I say? I get tunnel vision when editing so my couples can have their full collections as soon as possible!

Let's rewind to July 2nd. Liz first contacted me for their wedding in Bar Harbor earlier this year. I'll be the first to admit that I had originally turned these love birds down as I was going to be on vacation with my own family that week, but then reconsidered since I was actually in Bar Harbor anyways that week. I felt like it was meant to be (and my family felt the same). I absolutely love wedding on MDI and was very excited to be able to capture Liz & Paul's day. Pulling into Bar Harbor that morning, the dense fog was just starting to roll out. The cruise ship in port looked as if it was floating in midair. The sun was filtering through the cloud cover hinting at brighter things to come. Once it did pop through? YIKES! What a glorious, warm summer day that Liz & Paul were blessed with!

Our day started at the ECHO Salon with the ladies being pampered before heading back to the timeless Bar Harbor Club to assemble the last finishing touches. Paul enjoyed a relaxing morning at the Harborside Hotel next to the Bar Harbor Club while Liz and her ladies prepared at the Bar Harbor Club. Once Liz was donning her gorgeous, sparkly, lacy gown and Paul was dressed to the nines in his tux with timeless bow tie, it was time for them to get hitched on the back lawn overlooking Maine's gorgeous coastline. Officiant Lauren Crowley from "I Do" Ceremonies conducted a short, but sweet ceremony designed just for Liz & Paul before officially proclaiming them married at last!

With the ceremony behind them and brief family portraits captured, Liz & Paul were able to start their celebrating with their family and friends during their cocktail hour on the Club's patio. Mother Nature blessed their destination wedding with a glorious sunset behind the nearby islands and the outside space thus became the place to be until long after the glow was gone from the horizon. With the night just starting, Northeast Event Design got the dance floor hoping, as they always do, with a fun mix of tunes that you just had to dance to. Late that night, the newlyweds were sent off to start the next chapter of their life together with a sparkler send off out the front of the Bar Harbor Club.

Liz & Paul, thank you so much for letting me capture your day (and meet your furbabies)! I had so much fun! I hope that your honeymoon was an absolute blast. Be on the lookout for your gallery link later today. ♥
