Erin & Ben's Fall Maine Wedding at the Lucerne Inn in Dedham
It is hard to believe that my 2015 weddings have officially come to an end as I wrapped up the season with Erin & Ben last weekend at the Lucerne Inn in Dedham, Maine. When Erin first contacted me about their destination wedding near her parent's home in Maine last March, I was immediately struck by her planning and organization as well as their love and respect for one another. We "met" for the first time through a video chat, which is common for many of my couples who are often very busy or live very far away. I love technology! Chatting with Erin felt like I was catching up with an old friend. Fast forward to our first in person chat in June when they were in Maine wrapping up a few details and it was just natural. I absolutely love it when I work with couples who I jive so well with! The same goes for their pup, who I cuddled on the patio at Panera while her "mum & dad" grabbed their coffee. I love puppy cuddles!
As their wedding day approached, I anxiously watched the foliage report for around the Lucerne Inn in Dedham, Maine. The prediction was fairly epic. Peak was going to be just about there on the day of. Then I saw that Mother Nature had a cloudy sky on the docket, too, and I just about jumped for joy. A perfect day in every way.
Their wedding day certainly was perfect. They had many friends and family who traveled from afar to join them as they celebrated the start of this chapter of their life together. Erin got ready in the bridal suite surrounded by several of her closest ladies. Everyone was so relaxed and excited to see the preparations unfold. With strict instructions, Ben prepared the finishing touches in the reception tent and the ceremony site. As expected, it all came together with such perfection.
From Erin's walk down the aisle with her parents by her side to their ceremony conducted by one of their good friends, Erin & Ben's portraits overlooking the valley from Sunset Rock to their first dance as husband and wife, and to the amazing sunset they watched from the Lucerne Inn to the last song of the night... the whole day was perfection. And, after getting to know them so well in the past seven month, I can't say that I was surprised.
