Kim & Phil :: Wedding at Spurwink Church and Reception at Purpoodock Club in Cape Elizabeth, Maine
I first met Kim & Phil in June of 2012 over a cup of coffee at my beloved Panera. My first reaction after that meeting? OMG. I love them. They make me smile. And giggle. A lot. They made that reaction happen yet again when we got together at Willard Beach for the engagement session. Their upbeat outlook on life is just infectious. So, when it came time to kick off my 2013 wedding season with them, I could not have asked for a better couple to work with. Kim was absolutely glowing the entire day and her smile is downright stunning. Phil's antics kept everyone laughing despite the head cold he was fighting off all day. Add to that the amazing weather that they were blessed with and it really could not have been more perfect.
Both Kim & Phil got ready at the Double Tree by Hilton in South Portland in separate towers. No accidentally running in to each other in this place! Once the details were ready, it was off to one of my favorite small, country churches: The Spurwink Church. It's simple facade and interior put the focus right where it should be for the day of. The two lovebirds professing their love for each other in between giggle and tears of joy. I was definitely not the only one trying to keep it together! Upon finishing the family portraits on the lawn of the Church, and a limo ride around the block, it was time to get the party started at the gorgeous Purpoodock Club in Cape Elizabeth. And they kept the dance floor going all night with DJ Nate Hicks and their awesome bridal party and friends. It was an awesome way to start this new chapter of their lives together.
Congratulations, Kim & Phil! May your marriage get better and your love for each other stronger, each and every day. And I hope your head colds were over in a jiffy so you could enjoy your honeymoon.
