Meghan & Hunter's Rainy Day Engagement Portrait Session

Meghan & Hunter... where do I even begin!? These two love birds work together, but didn't connect until they were matched online. Shortly thereafter, it was clear to both of them why. And, after hanging out with the two of them in the rain, it's pretty clear to me as well. For many couples, my "I think we might miss the rain" email that I sent them yesterday afternoon before their engagement session might have given them pause and consider rescheduling. But Meghan & Hunter's response was simply that they wouldn't melt. My kind of couple!

But, as we all traveled to the Fuller Farm Preserve, the rain started and became heavier and heavier as we got closer. Yikes! Fortunately, I always have a giant clear umbrella in my car (plus a few others) and, after photographing more than a few rainy weddings, shooting in the rain doesn't bother me at all. Meeting Meghan & Hunter at the parking lot, we ducked under the trail sign roof and made our plan for our time together as we explored the trail system together. Having arrived a bit before them, I had already scoped out the areas that I wanted to get to first before the rain got worse than it already was. So, we took off for the woods across the bird filled fields. As we raced around trying to dodge rain drops, we chatted about their families, their wedding plans, and their life together. By the end of our time together, we were all drenched to the core. What started as soggy toes quickly had us dripping from head to toe. But boy was it worth it! And I'll admit that the three of us are already thinking that spending their engagement session in the rain will result in blue skies come their wedding day.

I had a hard time not laughing every moment that I was with Meghan & Hunter as we spent time together. And, if I managed not to laugh, I certainly still had a smile on my face. They are so much fun to be around! It made me even more excited for their wedding later this year.

Here is a sneak peek of their full gallery of images from their session. Thanks for braving the weather, Meghan & Hunter! It was a blast!
