Christina & Peter :: Tented Garden Wedding in Buxton, Maine
Last weekend's wedding was eight(ish) months of planning, but I first met Christina & Peter back in November 2012 when Peter's brother, Kevin, married Beth. I absolutely love it when family members book me for multiple weddings because it feels like a family reunion to me to see them all again. And last weekend was no different. Christina & Peter were married beneath a canopy of old growth trees on the top of a hill with a gorgeous view in Buxton, Maine. The private residence was immaculately groomed for their celebration and all of the gardens were in bloom. The tree lined road leading us there was like something out of a storybook. It truly was a dream spot.
Christina arrived at their ceremony in her father's immaculately restored red 1966 T-Bird with her parents, daughter, and their beloved dog. With their dog serving as the flower girl and their daughter as her maid of honor and a boat built by Peter in his youth floating in the pond behind the ceremony giving off slight ripples, it was a family centric ceremony in every way.
The celebration was featured a delicious dinner and an extensive dessert spread from the Bar Mills Community Church in Buxton, Maine while Ben & Diane Taylor kept the kids on the dance floor with tons of popular tunes. There was even a round of hookie pokie that was super popular! The candy bar was a huge hit, as always! By the end of the night, Christina & Peter watched the sunset over the valley as the day eight months in planning came to a close. What a wonderful way to start the next chapter of their life together.
Christina & Peter, thank you so much for letting me play a role in your wedding! I will always remember the day I cried first and when I became a ringbearer. I hope the past week has been filled with love, laughter, and lots of relaxing without wedding planning!
