Cairsten & Jimmy's Vintage Nautical York Harbor Inn Wedding & Reception in York Maine

Cairsten & Jimmy's wedding was a long time coming. I first met them at Kelly & Ryan's wedding in September of 2013. By January of 2014, they had booked me for their own wedding! Needless to say, the 18 months leading up to the wedding last weekend went by in a flash, especially since their engagement session at Bug Light in South Portland about a year ago. Seeing them last weekend was like reuniting with old friends. And, really, it was. I am so lucky to have such awesome clients turned friends.

Cairsten & Jimmy both got ready for their wedding along York, Maine's gorgeous coastline at the York Harbor Inn in York, Maine. Cairsten and her ladies were primped by the lovely ladies from K&D Wedding Services and Virginia Coggin before they slipped on their stunning navy, short dresses. And before Cairsten dawned one of the most gorgeous downs I've ever seen with ornate beading from the sleeveless bodice all the way to the train perfect for their garden ceremony in the Hartley Mason Reserve in York, Maine. Meanwhile, Jimmy and his guys played a few round of Cards Against Humanity. Yes, the guys really do have it rough.

With York Harbor Inn's fabulous, experienced planners (Paul & Cheyenne) leading the way, the entire day was smooth as can be. Cairsten watched the guys as they walked across the road in front of the Inn to the Hartley Mason Reserve; tears welled up in everyone's eyes as the power of the day finally hit all of us. On this gorgeous day, they would be wed. In a ceremony overlooking the ocean with the horizon far in the distance, they said their vows surrounded by their loved ones. Jimmy's smile was bright enough to light the way for his bride as he saw her walking down the aisle to him with her father by her side. I don't think I have ever seen a groom so overtly thrilled to be getting married. It was evident to us all that this really was meant to be.

Following the family and bridal party portraits in the Reserve and the newlyweds walk along the Cliffwalk, it was time to celebrate back at the York Harbor Inn with music played by DJ Jim Smith from Maine's Premier Entertainment. I was so excited to have Jim be at their wedding with me because I knew we'd have an awesome party on our hands. But, when I walked in the dining room, Jim wasn't what took my attention first. Nope. It was the absolutely stunning cake from Confection Art Inc. in Kittery, Maine. I am going out on a limb and say that it just might be my favorite cake. Ever. It was incredible! They really outdid themselves. Add in the stunning details of the Inn (like the incredible natural light, architectural details, and gorgeous tablescapes) and the vintage nautical theme that Cairsten & Jimmy created.... yes, I really do think the entire day was a dream come true for us all.

Cairsten & Jimmy, thank you so much for letting us capture your wedding for you. I hope that your honeymoon was even better than you could have dreamed. I'm so jealous!

Here is a sneak peek of their wedding gallery, which will be going up on my site this holiday weekend (yes, before they've even celebrated one week of marriage)! Happy 4th of July, everyone. And congratulations, once again, Cairsten & Jimmy.
